Blandwood’s front parlor is among the best-preserved Victorian interior's in North Carolina, and no better place to hear a story. Blandwood Mansion is recognized as one of the best preserved Victorian homes in North Carolina, and there is no better place to hear curious tales of the past. Cynthia's storytelling has become an annual tradition at the museum since 2004. She will treat children (and children at heart!) to legends and supernatural tales. Stories are school age appropriate and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Doors open at 6:45 pm, but space is limited. Seating is on the floor and first come is first served. Admission to this event is $2.00 per person. For more information, please call the main office of Preservation Greensboro at 272-5003. Before the Internet, before television, and even before radio, people gathered together each evening to exchange stories of history, fate, and the supernatural. Local storyteller Cynthia Moore Brown will recreate this venerable tradition in the flickering firelight of Blandwood Mansion's formal parlor this Saturday evening, and you are invited to attend.
