So very interesting!! From early 1956 I was the tax collector and secretary for the Town of Hamilton Lakes until it was annexed into the City of Greensboro in 1957. Residents came up to the second floor office in the building across from Guilford College to get swimming permits to swim in Hamilton Lakes. At that time Forrest & I lived in Pleasant Garden but we moved to Hamilton Lakes in 1962 and this year marked 50 years in our home.
I have a picture of the town council of Hamilton Lakes with Mayor E.R. Zane at the podium. If a brochure or booklet is being put together, I would be happy to share it.
